A weekend retreat for 7th and 8th graders
Life moves fast for all of us—especially for middle schoolers. It can be hard for students to find the space to process all that’s happening in and around them. Frequency is our weekend camp designed to help 7th and 8th graders tune in to what’s most important.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Transit camp if we didn’t also have a ton of fun planned! There will be plenty of wild games, outdoor activities, and opportunities to make lasting memories with their small group.

We completely understand. Each year, hundreds of parents trust us with their students for their first weekend away. We take their safety very seriously and keep a low adult leader to student ratio. Dozens of staff members are also onsite the entire weekend.
Yes. We will have two registered nurses at camp at all times. If your student needs to bring medication, you can leave it with a nurse at check-in to dispense at camp.

Please let us know when you register, and we will be happy to accommodate your student. Alternative meals are often available.
Check-in is at Buckhead Church on Friday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m., and pickup is at Buckhead Church on Sunday, October 16, at 1:00 p.m. If your student is registered, you will receive more details closer to camp time.
Then Frequency is the perfect place to be! Students will form healthy relationships in their small groups that they will build on for the next several years.

Yes. We have scholarships available to families that need assistance. We never want a student to miss an event because of financial issues. You can find an application at transitstudents.org/frequency/scholarship.
What to Bring:
- Clothes that can (will) get dirty
- Closed-toe athletic shoes you don’t mind getting dirty
- Bathing suit (Girls: One-pieces / Guys: Loose-fitting swim trunks)
- Pool towel and bath towel
- Sleeping bag & pillow
- Toiletries (deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
- Flashlight
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen & bug spray
- Plastic bag for wet/dirty clothes
- Bible, notebook, & pen
- Money for snack bar (optional)
What NOT to Bring:
- Drugs, alcohol, tobacco products
- Prank stuff
- Shirts that are strapless or expose your stomach
Many factors play into this decision, and parents are often surprised to learn that our events do not pay for themselves. There is a portion of our yearly Transit budget that supplements the event cost. Some cost factors include: facility rental, transportation, camp production, medical professionals, security, lifeguards, and much more. Also, since we ask so much of our small group leaders, we use the cost of registration to cover their expenses for attending. So, when you pay for your student to attend one of our events, a portion of that money is used to cover the cost of their small group leader.
