Redefining Messiah Graphic

Redefining Messiah, #1 | November 30, 2025

  1. What's your initial response to the notion of Jesus's single, new-covenant command replacing the ten commandments?
  2. If you are to express love for others the way Jesus expressed his love for you, what does that look like? What does that require?
  3. Does Jesus's new-covenant command strike you as too simple? Incomplete? Impractical? Something else?

Can I Get a Witness, #2 | November 16, 2025

  1. Has Jesus ever used an unexpected moment or unusual method to reach you personally and change you?
  2. Read John 9:6-7. When Jesus tells the man to "Go wash in the Pool of Siloam," the command seems pretty simple. The blind man deos not question it- he does what Jesus says. Do you sense Jesus instructing you to do something that you are hesitant to obey because you want more clarity?
  3. Did you grow up believing that you needed to clean up your act or change your life before receiving the love of Jesus and trusting him?
  4. Fill in the blanks about your own experience of Jesus: Before Jesus, I ______, but now ______.
  5. Has your understanding of Jesus change over time? How so?
  6. If God has indeed changed you from the inside out, is there now a version of "go and tell" that you feel he might be calling you to?

Can I Get a Witness, #1 | November 9, 2025

  1. Can you think of something you’ve witnessed that is so extraordinary that it defies explanation? Maybe it’s a place, an experience, an event that feels historic, or something that simply must be experienced by someone.
  2. Read John 1:35–38. How would you answer if Jesus were to turn to you and ask, “What do you want?” Is there a reason you are actually following him?
  3. If Jesus simply instructs us to “come and see,” how does this reframe the prerequisites of following him? What did you grow up thinking was required?
  4. If your life is a “show-and-tell,” what would people guess is the motivating force guiding your life?
  5. Do you intentionally spend time getting to know Jesus on a day-to-day basis? Would you describe it as “abiding” in him? Has it changed how you live your life?
  6. What part of “love in action” described in 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 do you personally struggle with? Can you think of any tangible steps you can take this week to work on being more Christ-like?

Easter | Sunday, April 20

1. Based on your past experience, what significance has Easter had on your ability to trust in God in the present?

Death to the king graphic

Death Of A King | Sunday, April 13

1. How have your views of death and what happens when we die evolved over the course of your life?

2. Is the notion that death is a consequence of sin new to you?

3. Respond to this: "Regarding death, we're like children standing on the side of the pool, afraid to jump, in spite of our parent's assurance that there's nothing to fear."

Take Aim series graphic

Take Aim | Sunday, March 30

1. Where are you aiming right now? How confident are you that it’s the right direction for your life?

2. How is your focus showing up in your calendar, budget, or conversations? What’s competing for your attention?

3. Read Ephesians 2:10 aloud. What “good works” might God have prepared for you that you haven’t stepped into yet?

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

4. Read Joshua 1:7–9 aloud. What stands out to you most in this passage and why?

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

5. What do you think it means to be “strong and courageous” in the specific season you’re in right now?

6. Are you in alignment—heart, mind, and actions? If not, which one is lagging behind the others?
