What could discipleship look like in the city of Atlanta?

This experience is designed for people who live in the Atlanta area, love Jesus, and want to learn more about discipleship in a city context.

This new nine-week course is divided into two parts. Part One begins on Thursday, October 20, with a dinner at a historic Atlanta restaurant. At the launch dinner, you will meet your group. After that, for five weeks your group will meet weekly to study basic concepts found in the New Testament regarding discipleship. You’ll take time during Part One to understand what these concepts look like in a city setting. The location of your group meetings will be determined by your group and its leaders. One group will meet on Tuesdays, and the other group will meet on Thursdays.

After a break for the holidays, your group will resume for Part Two. You'll meet once a week for three weeks, starting the week of January 16. During these three weeks your group will go observe a local nonprofit ministry in the city. There you will see people practice some of the discipleship concepts you studied.

All content for the course will be in the form of short videos you can watch on your phone. Each week your group will discuss what you watched, assisted in this process by your group leaders.

The cost for this course has been underwritten by a married couple who are excited to help people engage in this experience.
