The Living Room Volunteers


Small Group Leader
In Small Groups, eight to ten students meet in adult-led groups organized by area of town and night of the week. Our leaders play a key role in helping college students pursue spiritual growth and healthy relationships. Our leaders have opportunities to partner with college students during this unique season of their lives and to make lasting impacts. Our groups meet ten to twelve times per semester and take the summers off.

Kitchen Team
Kitchen Team members serve dinner before The Living Room. All of our food is already prepared, so no cooking skills are required. Our volunteers arrive at Buckhead Church at 6:15 p.m. and clean up at 8:00 p.m. We ask that our Kitchen Team serves two times a month during the school year.

Hospitality Team
Each week this team prepares our environment for students and helps reset the space after the event is over. These volunteers create a welcoming space that shows our students we are ready for them when they arrive. The commitment is two times a month during the school year. Set-up is from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and tear-down is from 9:00 until about 10:00 p.m. Volunteers are provided with dinner and are welcome to stay and attend the service in-between set-up and tear-down.

Host Team
Our Host Team welcomes students, creates a Home Away From Home experience, and connects first-time guests. They are our front lines on Monday nights. The commitment is serving twice a month during the school year from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m.
