GroupLink FAQs

Q

What if I can't attend GroupLink?

A

If you can’t attend, there’s no need to register. We post a list of groups with openings a few days after the event. If one of the groups matches your stage of life and meets at a place/time that works for you, you can sign up online.

Open group listings are active for two to three weeks after GroupLink. Openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can also try a Short-Term Group. They’re like Community Groups, but meet weekly for a short term to explore one topic. Short-Term Groups happen seasonally throughout the year. More information on Short-Term Groups.

Q

Do I need to register for GroupLink?

A

If you are able to attend, registration is highly encouraged. We use the registration information to help you meet people with similar group preferences.

Q

If I registered for GroupLink, does that mean I have joined a group?

A

No. We use your registration information to introduce you to people at GroupLink with whom you could potentially form a group. Only you can decide if a group works for you logistically. You come to GroupLink to meet others and decide which group you would like to join.

Q

What happens at GroupLink?

A

At GroupLink, everyone will start the evening with an initial connection group comprised of other people looking for the same type of group in the same area of town. The first step is to talk about the meeting night and location. If the logistics of this connection group work for you, you've joined a group. If not, volunteers will help you find a different group.

Q

What is the difference between GroupLink and a Community Group?

A

You go to GroupLink, a two-hour event, to join a Community Group. Community Groups are small groups of six married couples or eight individuals of the same gender who meet weekly in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

Q

Is childcare provided at GroupLink?

A

Childcare is not provided, but we do reimburse (at a predetermined rate) for babysitters needed in order to attend a GroupLink event. Childcare reimbursement forms are provided at GroupLink.

Q

In what areas of town do Buckhead Church groups meet?

A

The Buckhead Church GroupLink divides groups into these geographic areas:
•    Buckhead
•    Dunwoody/Sandy Springs
•    Midtown/Decatur
•    Smyrna/Vinings

The majority of our groups meet in these areas of town, but groups aren’t limited to these locations. If you don’t see your area of town listed, contact us.

We’ll help you determine if GroupLink at a different Atlanta-area North Point Ministries church would be closer to you.
